Haliza started her broadcasting career in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a trainee journalist in the TV3 Newsroom in 1990.
She joined the Money Matters team a year later, reporting on business stories and market reports, followed by 3 months work at the New Straits Times reporting for the national daily.
In 1993, she came to the UK as a Correspondent and has since become the face of 'TV3 London' on its News bulletins.
Haliza reports from the UK and Europe; producing News packages for TV3 Malaysia. Her work involves researching, interviewing, directing, editing and presenting. She also does her own filming.
She covers politics, business, education, sports, travel, human interests and fashion.
Over the years, she has interviewed many high profile figures including Prime Ministers, corporate leaders, sportsmen and fashion designers.
She has attended many major events in the UK and Europe including the Asia-Europe Summit, G8, Commonwealth Games, Formula 1 Racing, UK General Elections, London Fashion Week, All England Badminton Championships, G20 protest, UNESCO Conference, English Premier League matches and the Farnborough Airshow.
Haliza has also produced documentaries including ‘Lest we forget’ for TV3's Majalah 3 programme, about a group of British war veterans on their nostalgic trip to Malaysia for the 50th Merdeka celebrations.
