Early life

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Haliza spent her early life growing up in Selangor before coming over to the UK to study her first degree.

She moved to the UK in 1993 when she began her job as a Correspondent for TV3 Malaysia.

Education

Haliza holds a Bachelor of Economics and Social Studies from Cardiff University, Wales; a Diploma in Business Studies from MARA Institute of Technology Shah Alam, Malaysia (now UiTM); attended Convent Bukit Nanas secondary school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and SRJK (Inggeris) primary school in Rawang, Selangor.

Family

Haliza is married to Jonathan Doyle, a Systems Development Manager for an IT company. They live in St Albans, Hertfordshire with their children Emma Suraya, 23, Edward Iskandar, 20, and their two cats Shiro and Suki.
